About Me
I grew up in a family that prioritized education, and truly believe that: (1) Establishing a strong and confident foundation is the key to future success in learning. (2) Every student is unique, and (3) Learning can and should be FUN…yes, even Math!

After earning a degree in accounting from Arizona State University I worked for several years at a top worldwide accounting firm. Yet, I always felt my passion was with children and their education.
​Finally, I decided to make my dream a reality, went back to school to earn my credential and master’s at Azusa Pacific University. My favorite assignments involved working with struggling students, as I had struggled a bit myself as a youngster and understand the pain and desperation of feeling behind.
​
Now, in my 15th year of teaching/tutoring, I’ve found one-on-one instruction to be my calling. I love learning about and helping, children find and appreciate their strongest selves. When a child can release their anxiety about math, and yes even have some fun, learning becomes so much easier. There is nothing better than getting a child to laugh and let down their guard before tackling a particularly tough area of math.

I specialize in online tutoring of math, prealgebra, algebra, geometry, and precalculus. There are so many innovative techniques we can use to help your child release their math fears, and their newfound confidence will extend to other areas of life. And if I can help them drop their guard and vanquish their fears and concerns, we’re on our way towards success!
